Yea, Me too....
by flower ini'm grateful for the friends i've made here and hope to continue relationships with them however this board has reached the 'more harmful than good' stage for me as well so i'm going to have to move on.
i've recently began re-question my decision to leave the jw's and have been wondering if we arent all really screwed up as is believed to be the case by jw's.
i need to go back and re-read all the exjw literature to prove to myself all over again that we are normal and ok and victims of a fraudulent cult.

This is my first 4th of July as a non JW
So my question is what about patriotism?
As much as I believe that most of what the JW believes is in error. I do believe they have it right on nationism.
Our world is divide by skin color, race, sex, religion, and flag waving. If you meet someone and say "I 'm of Irish decent, catholic, republican, American from Texas. You have just mention 5 things that separates me from you!
The planet is ready for something different.
Everone who says we are right and everyone else is wrong, is what is bringing this world down.
Think you live in a great country-------Fine, but that does not give you the right to kill someone because they live in a different country?
When I went to my 20th high school reunion, a kid I went school with said "I thought about you alot in Viet Nam" I said "why?" "When we were killing poeple over there, to make the world a save place for democracy, I thought about us back in 5th grade, as we were all saying the flag salute, you just stood there with your hands by your side, not saying a word------- MAN, I really respect you for that!"
No one in my class of "67" died in Viet Nam, but 5 guys came back home to the U.S. from my class and killed themselfs.-------Happy 4th of July.

Do you feel like an idiot?Should you?
by sleepy ini was thinking today about all the time i spent on the ministry.. walking down the street with my suit and briefcase ready to defend the truth.. i recalled some of the conversations i had , had.some of the bible studies i conducted, the talks i had given the groups i had taken.. i remmebered the way i defended my faith and belief in jehovah and the jehovahs witness organisation.. how much i must have believed it was the truth.. i spent 3 years as an auxillary pioneer and called on many thousands of people.. yet all along i was wrong.. every time i defened my beliefs i was wrong.. every talk i studied and prepeared long and hard for, i was wrong.. all the things i gave up for the truth i was wrong.. what an idiot.

After 52 years I think I got most of you beat for years on the J.W. path. I have come to peace with it and even bless it, because of that path I know who I am now. How can that be wrong? Every "right" and "wrong" choice I have ever made has taught me, I have learned more from the wrong ones. I have compassion now were has I was in judgment before. I have true love to all people now, not just the ones who think the way I do. To take that path away, that experience away would put me back in hell. I know that I'm just as wrong about something I think today. But now because of were I've been I can look at all of my ideas as a possiblity of being truth or untruth. The the ablity to look at all thoughts and decide what is true or false to me, is the greatest gift they could have given me, and to you sleepy. You are not sleepy, you are now awaken.

Born into it, but choose it ahead of time. This happen by way of reincarnation. I needed to experience a NAZIS religion, and stand up to it, in my last life I was a Nazis. That time I set back and said nothing. I later took my own life. Since the NAZIS were gone I choose the NAZIS religion to take its place. It worked out perfect. Now my contract is up. Everything is in divine order.

My Experience Today with My Brother
by Reborn2002 inwell, my brother and his wife came over to my parent's house to visit today while i was home.. to make a long story short, while my brother and his wife were chatting with my mother in the living room, my 1 and a half year old nephew reilly walked into the kitchen where i was making a caesar salad.. he walked over towards me and was smiling, how can any normal adult resist the innocent smile of a child who is your relative?
i picked him up and gave him a huge hug, and told him i loved him.. as i was holding my nephew in my arms, my brother walked into the room.
he was smack dab in the middle of an in-depth conversation about jehovah with my mother and his wife, and i admit i was rolling my eyes listening to him spew about the "truth" and "the only means for salvation in the last days of this wicked system" even though when i confronted him with info on the un, blood, russell gravesite, rape changes, exclusivity, etc, he had no response for me because he was dumbfounded and lost for words.
